Start with the June origami sheet in front of you on a flat surface.
Turn it so that the dated side faces up.
Turn the sheet so that it’s diagonal, with the NDB Bank logo in the left corner and ‘June’ in the right corner.
Fold in half from left to right, crease well and unfold.

Fold in half again from top to bottom, crease well and unfold.
Fold the bottom edges up diagonally to the centre line (to create a kite shape), crease well and unfold.
The same way, fold the top edges to the centre line (to create an upside-down kite shape), crease well and unfold.
Using the previous folds, collapse along the dotted lines to make a "fish base".
Fold in half again from top to bottom, crease well and unfold.
Fold the bottom edges up diagonally to the centre line (to create a kite shape), crease well and unfold.
The same way, fold the top edges to the centre line (to create an upside-down kite shape), crease well and unfold.
Using the previous folds, collapse along the dotted lines to make a "fish base".
Flatten the two triangles that are sticking up down so that their tips point towards the top.
Flip the model around, then fold the top tip down so its roughly at the same point as the tips of the triangles on the other side.
Fold the sides inwards (not all the way to the middle!) and crease well.
Fold the model in half along the central crease.

Rotate the model 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Fold the flap over so that it points to the right.
Repeat on the flap on the other side.
The whale needs a tail! Fold the pointed corner of the shape up, crease well, and your whale is complete!
